INTERACTIVE TOOL

Which components
are already in place?

Four questions to prepare the inventory. The tool tests neither data quality, compliance nor the suitability of the configuration.

Your current stack:

Categories completed

Select your parameters.

Select the reported status of each category. Reporting that something is present does not prove that it works correctly.

Self-reported inventory. Only tests of events, consent and destinations can establish actual behaviour.

Anatomy

6 pillars of clean tracking.

The foundations that distinguish an amateur setup from a professional one.

The visual guide

The layers to distinguish in your measurement

  • Events and consent

Define what can be collected and in which context.

  • Tags and collection

Configure, filter and test the planned transmissions.

  • Reconciliations

Connect the web to the CRM where the data allows.

  • Documented interpretation

Compare attribution views and their limitations.

Server-side collection adds control. It does not bypass consent.
01

Server-side collection

An intermediate layer to better control, filter and document transmitted data. Gains are measured case by case.

02

Consent Mode v2

Transmission of consent choices to the relevant Google products. This mechanism does not replace a banner or GDPR analysis.

03

GTM (Tag Manager)

Centralised tags, versions, testing and controlled publication according to available permissions.

04

Attribution

Comparison of several views where available data can answer a specific decision-making question.

05

CRM integration

Matching web events with CRM data where identifiers, legal bases and access allow.

06

Dashboards

Consolidated views with documented definitions, data freshness, filters and limitations.

Attribution

4 models to compare.

Each view answers a different question and has its own limitations.

Last-click

SMEs getting started

All credit goes to the last touchpoint. Simple, but undervalues upper-funnel channels.

First-click

Branding

All credit goes to the first contact. Overvalues awareness and undervalues conversion.

Linear

Long B2B cycle

Credit shared equally across all touchpoints. Balanced.

Data-driven

To check in the tool

A view calculated by the platform from available data. How it works and whether it is available depend on the product.

Method

4 phases to plan according to scope.

  1. 01

    Inventory

Assessment of tools, tags, events, consent, access and responsibilities.

    Phase 1

  2. 02

    Tracking architecture

Measurement plan: indicators, events, parameters, naming conventions and minimisation rules.

    Phase 2

  3. 03

    Implementation

Configuration of the components in the quote, with versions, a test environment and a change log.

    Phase 3

  4. 04

    Validation and handover

Quality tests, dashboards, documented limitations and handover to the relevant people.

    Phase 4

Frequently asked questions

All about professional tracking.

Why consider server-side collection?
It adds a layer of control between the browser and platforms: parameter filtering, tag governance, documentation and testing. It bypasses neither consent nor blockers and guarantees no fixed percentage of additional data. The benefit must be measured on your stack.
How much does a professional tracking setup cost in Brussels?
Three packages are published: Standard setup at €4,500 excluding VAT, Server-side setup at €8,500 excluding VAT and Advanced setup from €15,000 excluding VAT. The final scope depends on tools, events, integrations and governance requirements.
Which attribution model should you choose?
The choice depends on conversion volume, the sales cycle and the decisions to make. The data-driven model available in Google products, last-click and multi-touch analyses address different needs. We document the limitations of each view before comparing them.
How long does it take to set up tracking?
Timing depends on the number of domains, tags, events, consent requirements, integrations, environments and approvals. The proposal distinguishes inventory, architecture, implementation and acceptance testing. No generic timeframe constitutes a commitment.
Is Consent Mode v2 a legal obligation?
Consent Mode v2 is a Google mechanism, not a standalone law. Google requires relevant advertisers in the EEA to obtain consent and send the required signals to retain certain measurement, personalisation and remarketing features. The lawfulness of processing must be assessed separately under the GDPR and Data Protection Authority recommendations.
Is server-side tracking automatically GDPR-compliant?
No. It can facilitate data minimisation, filtering and documentation, but compliance depends on purposes, legal bases, retention periods, recipients, transfers, contracts and consent choices. No technical architecture guarantees compliance on its own.
Which CRMs and platforms do you work with?
Scoping can cover HubSpot, Brevo, Mailchimp, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive or Salesforce, as well as WordPress, Shopify, Astro, Webflow or Next.js. Feasibility depends on APIs, rights, subscribed editions, costs, identifiers and processing rules. It is checked before committing.
