Shared foundations, different areas of work

SEO and useful content

  • AEO

Make direct answers clear and verifiable.

  • GEO

    Observe mentions in generated answers.

  • LLMO

    Document technical access and metadata.

These terms organise the assignment. They are neither official standards nor a guarantee of visibility.

Search engines can now display links, snippets, related questions or generated summaries. Visible references vary by platform, query, language, context and time of testing.

Google states that its AI features rely on the usual SEO fundamentals. There is no AI-specific markup, special file or minimum length that ensures a presence.

AEO, GEO and LLMO are used here to organise the work: answer quality, observed visibility in generative interfaces and crawler-related technical checks. They are not official standards.

FAQ

Your questions about AI engine visibility

AEO, GEO, LLMO: what is the practical difference?

These are industry terms, not official standards. AEO describes the quality of direct answers, GEO the visibility observed in generative interfaces, and LLMO the technical checks associated with crawlers and metadata. All rely on SEO fundamentals.

How can I tell whether ChatGPT cites my website?

Use a predefined set of queries and retain the date, language, context, answer and displayed references. Repeat the protocol before drawing conclusions. An isolated absence is not enough to diagnose a technical problem.

How long before AEO/GEO/LLMO results appear?

No timeframe or stability can be guaranteed. Platforms may use search, their own indexes and other evolving systems. We therefore track dated observations and actually attributable traffic.

Does traditional SEO become useless with AI?

No. Google explicitly says its AI features build on search fundamentals. A crawlable, useful and consistent website therefore remains the foundation, without any calculable percentage of “AI prerequisites”.
